We’re delighted to welcome Kate Randall to the CBF team!
Kate joined in February and is in the newly created role of Outcomes and Evaluation Analyst within our Grants Support Team.
With an extensive background working in the community sector designing and implementing evaluation frameworks that make sense, Kate joins us from a social purpose evaluation consultancy, where she specialised in evaluation capacity building with not-for-profit organisations.
Kate is already underway developing an outcomes-focused evaluation framework for CBF.
“CBF has a wealth of data and information, and a great appetite to take evaluation and reporting to the next level, so we can better understand and communicate our impact. I’m really enjoying working with the CBF team and key stakeholders to bring all this data together in alignment with our funding guidelines, strategic plan and Roadmap 2033.”
So far, Kate has led a process to develop a draft Outcomes Framework that has involved Board and Committee Chairs and the Support Team. The next step will be developing an Evaluation Framework that focuses on measuring the things that matter, and only collecting information that is meaningful. She’ll do this with a view to ensuring grantee reporting requirements are practical and don’t create additional hurdles.
“Evidence of the positive outcomes that community broadcasters are creating will be useful not just for CBF, but also for grantee organisations – and I look forward to helping us collectively capture and tell our stories of impact.”
