Brand New Season of The Multicultural AFL Footy Show

The National Ethnic and Multicultural Broadcasters’ Council’s  (NEMBC’s) Multicultural AFL Footy TV show has just announced a brand new seventh season!

The award-winning show will be airing weekly through this year’s men’s and women’s AFL season, showcasing the AFL’s diversity, game highlights, match reviews, news, previews and interviews.

Joining the show’s regular AFL anchor Vanessa Gatica will be 2019 Antenna award-winning presenter Harbir Singh Kang, revered game analyst George Grosios along with Ragbir Ghuman, Liz Honey,  Fouad Andrawos, Maximo Perez and new panellist Max Hatzoglou.

‘In our 7th year, we’re featuring an all-female anchored AFLW TV panel to highlight our diversity and inclusion policy’ said Fiv Antoniou, NEMBC’s Producer/Director.

NEMBC Media’s AFL/AFLW programs and live broadcasts have a combined national audience of over 760,000 multicultural, ethnic and inclusive community viewers per week.  The broadcasts have also been making waves abroad, with the Australian Football Association of North America (AFANA) receiving 1.78 million streams last season, with fans from all over Argentina, Mexico, Cuba, the Philippines, and Europe.

Aired on Channel 31 Melbourne and Geelong, C44 Adelaide, Aurora-Foxtel TV as well as digital streaming services such as CTV+ and You Tube, the show is now available in 10 languages (previously 8) though 30 radio stations and available on the Community Radio Network (CRN) – with live match day multilingual commentary on digital radio platforms and 125 member programs that broadcast podcasts and AFL News.

NEMBC were a recipient of CBF’s Content Round 1 Grant 2022/23.  CBF funding will provide support for three years including for training, production, editing and writing, staff wages including producer and presenter fees for television, radio and live broadcast call costs.
