We have a range of training opportunities to expand the knowledge of our volunteers.

Cultural competency training for CBF volunteers:

New Grants Advisory Committee members will be automatically enrolled for the following two cultural competency courses (unless they can demonstrate appropriate cultural knowledge through prior personal or workplace experience). Get in touch with Georgie to discuss.

New Assessor Team members are highly encouraged to enroll in the following two cultural competency courses (unless they can demonstrate appropriate cultural knowledge through prior personal or workplace experience) as once completed you will be eligible to assess projects related to Indigenous and ethnic broadcasting. Get in touch with Georgie to register.

The How to Assess First Nations application video series is a series of cultural competency training resources for CBF volunteers. These 4 short videos are comprised of interviews with First Nations stations, assessors and committee members and cover a range of topics that aim to assist assessors when considering applications from First Nations Australian organisations and content-makers.
