Roadmap 2033 is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to define our own destiny as community broadcasters and establish a plan to get there. It will be a vision developed for the sector, by the sector.
Since the project began in earnest in December, more than 100 people from across and beyond the sector have taken time to share their expert advice and thinking through 20 one-on-one interviews and 10 focus groups. This activity, together with an analysis of trends and issues impacting the sector, marks the end of the formal learning and discovery phases of the project. This work has created a sound knowledge base from which to move forward to identify emerging themes.
What’s next?
- Collaboration starts in earnest with a Leadership Forum on 23 February attended by 32 representatives from sector organisations and sector leaders.
- An online survey to capture the Values important to people in the sector will run from 23 Feb to 9 March. Emails with a survey link will be sent out widely.
- During April, we’ll invite you to respond to a Roadmap 2033 Discussion Paper. We’ll be seeking your responses to key questions that will inform the Roadmap.
The Roadmap 2033 will outline the shared goals and priorities of community broadcasters and will be developed through participation and contribution from hundreds of people across the sector.
