Nicola Joseph

Board Director

Nicola has been involved in community broadcasting since 1978 when she first went to air as a media student in Bathurst.

She has worked in volunteer and paid positions at 2SER4ZZZ, 2SER and Radio Skid Row. She also worked for the National Ethnic Multicultural Broadcasters’s Council and the  Community Broadcasting Association of Australia  More recently she was the CEO of the Community Media Training Organisation.

Nicola also worked at both SBS and the ABC in various roles including as a journalist, presenter, executive producer and station manager.  She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of NSW undertaking research into media and diversity in Australia. Until recently, she was a member of the CBF’s Content Grants Advisory Committee.

Nicola joined the CBF Board in 2021.
