Roadmap 2033: Watch the Congress video!

May 3, 2023
On 20 April, 64 people from across the community broadcasting sector gathered together at a Sector Congress in Naarm /Melbourne to progress the concepts of the Roadmap 2033. It was a chance to focus on the sector as we want to see it in ten years’ time.
The group included 32 people from sector organisations who have already been involved in the project, and another 32 ‘everyday’ people from stations large and small from around Australia.
The atmosphere in the room was one of enthusiasm, concentration and collaboration as the group worked together to articulate a vision and purpose for community broadcasting in Australia. But by far the largest task of the day was breaking into groups and discussing “placeholder agreements”. Each group tasked with the job of agreeing, rejecting or amending these agreements that may be taken forward into the draft Roadmap set for release later in May.
