The Community Broadcasting Foundation is excited to welcome eight newly appointed Grant Assessors!  Volunteers sit at the heart of our organisation.  Their knowledge, expertise and passion for community media is central to ensuring our grants reflect the many perspectives, people and communities our sector serves.

Meet our new volunteer assessors:  Armando Cristofori, Christopher Tait, Eleanor Zurowski, Grace Marshall, Leigh Drew, Leonie McGregor, Nici Stott and Noelani Osueke.

Here’s what some of them had to say about joining the Community Broadcasting Foundation:

‘After 15 amazing years at 3CR I feel compelled to spread my wings in new ways by getting involved more broadly in the sector directly with key organisations like the CBF.’
– Nici Stott

‘I am passionate about community radio especially CALD and LGBTQA+ community radio stations and am interested in helping those stations achieve their goals.’
– Grace Marshall

‘Giving back has always been a personal value and in helping CBF, this will expand my knowledge and capacity to assist nationally and within any organisation I write grants for in the future.  I also believe I will learn more about the core mission, values, and goals of community radio and the CBF in general, which is important as I am fairly new to the sector’ – Leonie McGregor

‘I feel I could offer valuable contribution to the process as I have a lot of experience in media and radio.  I love the community radio sector and I feel I could especially add to the needs of remote and rural stations as many people don’t have this lived experience.  And it is required to truly understand the needs of these organisations.’
– Christopher Tait

‘I wish to give back to the community.  This is a way of both assisting the CBF and the wider community stations throughout Australia.’ – Leigh Drew
