We are thrilled to welcome Melanie Kawa to join the CBF Board for 12 months as an observer, as part of The Observership Program.
The CBF is participating in The Observership Program for a second year – a program that facilitates the involvement of young, talented and energetic individuals in a structured experience on non-profit Boards. The program aims to develop the skills and experience of individuals to pursue leadership roles in the non-profit sector and wider community.
Melanie is a professional rugby player and the co-captain of the Melbourne Rebels W rugby team. She has a Masters degree in International Public Health and wide ranging experience working in global health, public health advocacy, sport and recreation for community development, as well as working with multicultural refugee communities and asylum seekers.
In joining the CBF Board, Melanie aims to gain skills and experience she can take back to governance roles within women’s sport. And in hosting Melanie, the CBF Board gains a unique perspective from beyond the sector. It’s a win-win and we look forward to working with you Melanie!
