We are thrilled for 2RRR following last week’s visit from The Hon. Minister Michelle Rowland MP & Federal Member for Bennelong Jerome Laxale MP.

Based in Henley New South Wales on Wallumettagal Country, 2RRR has been a shining example of some of the outstanding work that is paving the way for more young people to have their voices heard on air.

2RRR’s Youth Jukebox broadcaster Chris had the opportunity to interview Minister Rowland MP and Jerome Laxale MP about the impact of the government’s investment in community radio.

‘Community Radio plays a crucial role in connecting, informing and empowering local communities – and 2RRR in Ryde is no exception.  For over 50 years, 2RRR has broadcast stories of interest to diverse audiences across North Sydney – and I’m extremely proud that the Albanese Government’s Community Broadcasting Program has supported its important work’ – Minister Rowland MP.

Thank you Minister Rowland MP & Jerome Laxale MP for supporting community radio and highlighting the important work of stations like 2RRR which provides an important platform for nurturing and empowering young talents like Youth Jukebox broadcaster Chris.

2RRR were the recipient of CBF’s Development & Operations Grant Rounds 1 & 2 2022/23 and Specialist Radio Programming Grant Round 1 2022/23.
