Wayne is a Noongar man whose career in community broadcasting spans 40 years. Starting at Community Radio 6NR in the late 1970s, he went on to work as a station manager, broadcaster and teacher in Perth and remote regional areas of the Kimberley and Northern Territory. He was Station Manager and presenter at Noongar Radio for five years,  worked as a broadcaster for ABC Radio Northern Territory, helped establish Waringarri Radio and most recently managed Fitzroy Crossing’s  Wangki Radio.

Wayne has a philosophy based on respect and continuous learning: “Be respectful to other people and always be ready to learn.”
