Ian Stanistreet’s extensive experience in community broadcasting began as a volunteer broadcaster at Melbourne’s 3PBS. He was the station’s first employee as Station Manager from 1982-1988. Ian has worked as a trainer at 3BBB in Ballarat and managed 2MCE-FM in Bathurst where he was instrumental in establishing the community radio sector’s news service – National Radio News (NRN).
Ian has served on the CBAA’s National Committee and is a past President of the Community Broadcasting Association of Victoria and Secretary of the Northern NSW Community Media Association. Ian joined the CBF in July 2000 and was awarded the 2017 CBAA Michael Law Award for his sustained and outstanding contribution to community media. Email Ian.
