A few opportunities have opened up recently on our Development and Operations Advisory Committee (DOGAC) as a result of changes at Board level.
After nine years on our Board, Ellie Rennie will retire at the end of June. Her contribution to the Foundation, and to the sector as a whole, has been invaluable. We thank her for her dedication, wise counsel and deep knowledge that has helped guide the work of the Foundation during this time.
Jurgen Schaub, the current chair of DOGAC, has been appointed as a Director to the Board to fill the vacant position created by Ellie’s departure. His move has consequently created vacancies on this grant advisory committee.
New DOGAC appointments
Current DOGAC member, Meg Butler, has been appointed as Chairperson to the Committee and will take on the role from 1 August 2020. Meg has also been appointed to the Sector Investment Advisory Committee (SIAC) for a three year term. The SIAC includes one Board Director and one member from each of the grants advisory committees to ensure key information is shared that informs grant decisions and priorities.
Finally, we welcome Charlotte Bedford as a new appointment to DOGAC. Charlotte has spent 20 years working in community broadcasting, both in Australia and the UK, and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role. Charlotte will officially join DOGAC on 1 August 2020.
Congratulations to everyone on their appointments and we look forward to working with you in the year ahead!
