We’re looking for a new Grants Support Team member to work collaboratively with the team to help administer our grant programs and support applicants and volunteers through our processes.
Our grants support the community broadcasting sector – Australia’s largest independent media sector, a key contributor to the diverse cultural fabric of our society.
The Community Broadcasting Foundation (CBF) is an independent not for profit that distributes almost $20 million annually in funding to the community media broadcasting sector. We champion community media and believe that hearing stories from our diverse and local communities enriches and connects us.
As Australia’s largest independent media sector, the community media sector reaches an audience of more than five million Australians every week. From major cities to remote communities across the country, our grants inspire people to create local and authentic cultural content that represents and strengthens a diverse and inclusive society.
About the role
You will work collaboratively within the Grant Support Team to ensure CBF grant programs are implemented and managed effectively. You’ll support applicants through the grants process whilst maintaining the online grants management system. You will also guide and support our volunteer grant assessors and committees’ independent decision-making processes. Occasional travel and weekend work may be required (pending COVID), with time-in-lieu provisions as per the CBF Employment Agreement.

- $87,538 per annum + 15.4% super and salary packaging

You are self-motivated and energetic, and work in a collaborative and collegiate manner. You are a strong communicator who demonstrates a positive and diplomatic approach. You will bring:
- Prior experience of grant-making and/or community broadcasting
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and administrative skills
- Experience supporting committees or boards, drafting reports and minutes
- Effective engagement of key stakeholders, including volunteers
- Proven ability to successfully develop and implement strategies, processes and policies
- A commitment to quality service standards and delivery.
