Multi-year funding support (City Park Radio)
In a first for the CBF, City Park Radio has been offered three-year funding to support their operational costs. City Park Radio demonstrated exceptional organisational planning for the activities seeking funding support.

Strategic Planning (3INR)
The CBF is funding a facilitated planning workshop at 3INR to help the team develop a strategic plan, including a vision and roadmap for achieving success.

Community Builder (C31)
Community Builder is a social enterprise providing unique media training opportunities and career pathways. A CBF grant will fund provide increased opportunities for people of different cultures and abilities, develop partnerships with local community organisations/social enterprises, and help build a reliable income source for C31.

Station Manager salary support (6HFM)
Hedland Community Radio will have a paid, full-time Station Manager for the first time thanks to a salary subsidy from the CBF. The station is looking forward to increasing its sponsorship revenue, welcoming new announcers and members, and conducting a number of OBs throughout the year with support from the organisation’s only paid staff member.

Transmission and studio equipment (7WAY)
7WAY are looking to increase volunteers and engagement of local young people, artists, performers, groups, churches and Christian organisations. With our support, 7WAY will have the essential equipment needed to broadcast effectively and reach new audiences.

New studio equipment (5RRR)
5RRR in Woomera has been operating with a borrowed mixer from 5ROX FM and a mini Mac borrowed from SACBA for some time. This year, grant funds will help the station purchase its own equipment mixer and studio computer and return the equipment they’re currently borrowing from other stations.

800MHz transfer (4CIM)
Bumma Bippera Media in Cairns is among the 17 stations receiving funding assistance to transfer frequencies due to changes in the 800MHz band. The station will replace its transmitter link and is supported with a contribution to its transmission expenses in 2018-19.
