As the season of sector conferences begins, members of our team will be hitting the road to listen, learn and spread the word about our grants.

First up, Grant Support Team members Dean, Georgie, Liz, Rachel and Sheah will be joining Technorama‘s T22 roadshow, Australia’s leading conference for those who support technology in community broadcasting.

This one-day conference is usually held in one location, but this year it’s taking to the road and will be held in Sydney (17 September), Brisbane (1 October) and Melbourne (8 October).

Members of the CBF team will be presenting at each event to let people know about who we are and how the grants process works, as well as what makes a winning technology application. They’re looking forward to catching up with community broadcasters and technologists after a two-year pandemic gap.

If you’ve never been to a Technorama conference before, this is a great opportunity for anyone who deals with broadcast technology – new and budding technologists, station managers, broadcasters and producers –  to build connections with and learn from the most experienced broadcast technologists.

This year’s conference is focused on helping new and emerging community broadcasting technologists and their station management. The day will cover tech fundamentals, including studio basics, broadcast chain, station IT, what’s important to know about transmission, and much more.

You can find out more about the conference, read the full program and register on the Technorama conference page. There are earlybird discounts for each event.

Make sure you come and say hi to the team. They’re happy to answer any questions about our grants or just have a chat!

The Technorama conference is supported through a multi-year Development & Operations grant.
