The COVID-19 Quick Response Grant announced by our President Ian Hamm last week opens today.
This grant is the first in a series of measures to help support community radio stations manage the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a one-off opportunity for stations that have no paid employees to access funds to help maintain operations under COVID-19 social distancing requirements.
The application and reporting processes have been streamlined to make it easy and quick for stations to access these funds.
Who can apply?
To apply Australian community radio stations need to meet both of the following criteria:
- been on air for the past 24 months
- have no paid employees.
Please note: this grant is not available for subscription services, online content producers or narrowcasting services.
How much can I apply for?
Each station can make one application for up to $2000. A total of $200,000 is available for distribution in this grant.
What can I apply for?
You can apply for either or both of the following:
- purchase of small equipment, software, supplies and costs associated with maintaining operations under COVID-19 social distancing requirements
- reimbursement for costs related to COVID-19 social distancing requirements incurred since 1 January 2020.
