Appointments to our Board and Committees

Group of people sitting side-by-side

In July, we farewell and welcome volunteers to lead our decision making, including new representatives joining our Board, Grants Advisory Committees and Grant Assessor team.

Our Board

After three years on our Board, Nathaniel Garvin will be retiring at the end of June. Nathaniel has shared his valuable skills into finance, technology and fundraising and we thank him for his support. With Nathaniel’s departure, we will be announcing a new Sector Nominated Director in the coming month.

Our Sector Nominated Board members Ellie Rennie and Luchi Santer were reappointed for further terms. Kim Borrowdale was also reappointed as an Independent Board Director for a further term.

Advisory Committees

Our Advisory Committees continue to attract leaders in Australian community media.

We congratulate Michelle Brown, Jurgen Schaub and Stephen Jolley for their reappointments to our Sector Investment Advisory Committee.

We welcome Evrim Şen and Zain Nabi to our Development and Operations Grants Advisory Committee. We also congratulate Jurgen Schaub and Karen Paterson who were reappointed to the committee. A huge thanks and farewell to Anna Schinella and Campbell McNolty for their fantastic contributions to our work.

Michelle Brown, Maddy Macfarlane and Gerry ‘G-man’ Lyons were reappointed to our Content Grants Advisory Committee. Congratulations!

All committee appointments are for three-years. Our Board and Committees have staggered terms with appointments occurring every 18 months. Subscribe to our e-news to find out when nominations open for the next round of appointments.

Grant Assessors

Our Grant Assessor team continues to grow as we welcome Judy Kelly, Matthew Tomich, Justine Lloyd, Rachel Tyler Jones, Jenni Rush, Liam Fallon, Kristy-Lee Horswood, Tania Katsanis, Greg Bondar, and Lisa McLean. We also thank more than 60 Grant Assessors who were reappointed for another three-year term.
